My boyfriend (who’s a Brit) told me you could fit all of the UK in the state of Oregon.  I didn’t believe him, thinking the UK population was too big—I may be rethinking that argument.  MORE FOOD FOR THOUGHT: the drive from Des Moines, Iowa to Chicago, Illinois is a little over 300 miles and just under 6 hours (assuming you  stop for gas and at least one bathroom break)—that’s the *same* distance between Edinburgh and London

You can actually fit the UK in to Texas four times!
